Self Referral Physiotherapy - Did you know that you do not always have to be referred to physiotherapy by a clinician.  Portland has a self-referral service for Portland Patients.  If you have any muscular pain then please pop into reception for a self-referral form.

Flu Vaccine 2018

 Saturday 20th October 2018

There are some important changes to the influenza vaccine campaign this year. People who are 65 and over will be eligible for a newer version of the vaccine which NHS England recommend.  Data shows that the new vaccine is more effective for this age group.  There is also an improved vaccine for 64 years and under. If you are eligible for either vaccine you will be sent an invitation letter.

New Ways of Working

Royal Manor Health Care is changing the way patients access GP appointments. For more information please see New Ways of Working in the Further Information section of this website.

Walk in and Wait

Walk in and Wait surgeries are now available every weekday from 8.30a.m and 2p.m (Please note, these surgeries are only held at our Easton branch.)  These appointments are not pre-bookable.

Here at Royal Manor Health Care we try very hard to meet the needs of all our Patients, but we need your help to do this. You can help us by cancelling unwanted appointments as soon as possible. Every month we have a large number of appointments that get wasted due to missed appointments. We now have a dedicated email for your convenience.  Email:

If you don't need the appointment another patient can make use of it!

On-line services gives patients the option to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view their GP records, using their computer, tablet or smartphone rather than having to phone or visit the practice.

Online services complement the existing ways patients can access appointments, prescriptions and their records.  Our practice already has the facility to offer online access.  If you are not already registered for  online services please let a member of the practice team know that you would like to use this service, you can download the necessary forms here too.

Using our on-line services are easy, just come into the surgery with some photo identification to get a personalized log-in and password.  So just ask one of our receptionists to set this up for you - they will be happy to help.

When you have your unique log-in information, please click on the 'Appointments/Repeat Prescription' tab of our web-site home page and follow the links.

Electronic Prescribing Service

This means that, in most cases, instead of printed prescriptions, we are now able to send them electronically to the various Pharmacies.  If you would like to take advantage of this service, please speak to one of the Receptionists who will be able to advise you further.

It is a contractual requirement for GPs as imposed by the NHS that by the end of March 2016 every patient must have a named GP. Please ask at reception if you are unsure.
